About Dr. Jaffer Khan

Dr. Jaffer Khan is a Pakistani-born Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon with more than 25 years of experience across the UK and the UAE. He trained in UK teaching hospitals including St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London, and previously practised on Harley Street. He was the first surgeon in the region to pass the Intercollegiate Specialist Fellowship Examination in Plastic Surgery. Liposuction and body contouring are areas of special interest: he treats them as sculpting rather than simple fat removal, defining the waist, smoothing the flanks and refining the thighs, arms and chin. He tells patients that liposuction is a contouring tool and not a weight-loss treatment, and he performs each step personally. He founded Aesthetics International and AEON Clinic.

Techniques Used

Dr. Khan describes modern liposuction as liposculpture, with the aim of a natural, athletic shape:

  • Tumescent liposuction: a saline, local anaesthetic and adrenaline solution numbs the area and reduces bleeding and bruising
  • Liposculpture: fat removed in controlled, layered passes to avoid contour irregularities
  • High-definition techniques: used where suitable to bring out natural muscle definition
  • Compression garment: fitted after surgery to support the new shape
