About Dr. Sanjay Parashar
Dr. Sanjay Parashar is a consultant plastic surgeon and the founder and chairman of Cocoona Centre for Aesthetic Transformation in Dubai. He has more than 30 years of experience and says he has performed over 10,000 liposuction procedures. He holds an MCh from Mumbai and a DNB from Delhi, and trained in India, Australia, the USA, Bahrain and South Korea. He has practised in the UAE since 2005, at Welcare, Zulekha, Emirates Hospital and Dubai London Hospital. He wrote the book Art of Abdominal Contouring: Advanced Liposuction, has published liposuction research on PubMed, and teaches high-definition liposuction masterclasses.
Techniques Used
Dr. Parashar plans the technique around the areas treated and the result the patient wants:
- High-definition (HD) liposuction: sculpting that brings out muscle lines, including six-pack liposuction (abdominal etching)
- VASER (ultrasound-assisted) and power-assisted liposuction
- Tumescent liposuction: the classic technique with a saline solution that reduces bleeding
- Liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks, breasts or face
- Full body, abdomen, waist, back, thigh and chin liposuction, under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia
